Have you known a place that best for those who are finding solitude? Yes, there is!.. its in UPLB (University of the Philippines-Los Baños) wherein aside from the fresh air it serves, you and me can also find privacy … a perfect place for unwinding especially for those who are searching for a peace of mind.
I visited the place one Saturday afternoon of November and I was amazed because I don’t only felt the relaxing experience but I was also fascinated on how UPLP preserved the nature.
One that catches my attention was the Acasia Tree which been their even before the existence of UPLB. It’s a Heritage Tree for the UPLB Community. It’s a massive Mushroom-shaped Rain Tree, an inviting refuge for those people seeking shade and rest after an active play under the scorching sun.
The tree is a spreading natural landmark in the campus. Popularly, it serves as an umbrella to conceal dating sweethearts and lovers. Thus, getting its humorous and popular name among locals as the “Fertility Tree”.
